The entrance into Son Bou is like passing through a picture postcard, as you journey through the impressive rock tunnel as it nears the coast.

Son Bou

Son Bou boasts the longest beach on Menorca, some 3 km long and on average 40 metres deep. The sand is pale gold and powdery and the very clear water gets deep only gradually. The sheer lenght of the beach ensures it never gets overcroweded.

San Jamie

Further west the beach becomes wilder and quieter thanks largely to a wild protected strip of marshland that cuts it off completely from the villas and apartments of San Jamie.

Many trees have been retained among the villas and these, together with colourful gardens, give a pleasent green aspect. Club San Jamie is a nucleus with a bar/restaurant, 2 swimming pools two extremely popular water chutes and offers family entertainment in the evenings.

Water Sports

Bathing and water sports are safe at Son Bou. On suitable days there are opportunities for windsurfing, motorboats, sailing and banana boats. You can hire pedalos, sunbeds and umbrellas. In addition there are 3 beach bars to cater for the visitors to the islands longest stretch of sand, offering refreshments for all appetites - beach snacks and a la carte - a perfect setting by day or night.

Son Bou is the perfect family holiday destination. With an excellent standard of accommodation, freindly locals, good choice of bars and restaurants (although certainly not rowdy) plenty of water sports on an excellent beach and great children facilities.
